Our management team is led by an experienced professional. Our President and Director of Nursing, Lisa Alvarez, is a Registered Nurse. This means that assessments of prospective clients, follow up visits, and supervision of caregivers are done by a highly qualified nurse with years of experience. ALL prospective clients receive an assessment by an RN, even if a referral suggests only a companion level of service is required. It is important to us to fully understand the detailed needs of our clients.

We extensively screen prospective caregivers. We have a six step hiring process which checks backgrounds, health status and skills. Many agencies only conduct drug screening (background checks for drug convictions). We follow Drug Free Work Place Protocols.

Unlike many agencies, we offer both Companion and Home Health Services. This means that if a client starts as a Companion client and later might require more comprehensive health care services, he/she can remain a Comforcare client and not have to change agencies.

We focus exclusively on our expertise in home health care. There are other types of agencies that provide RNs, physical therapists, etc. and non-medical home care is an afterthought. Still others, known as nurse registries, are simply temporary agencies with limited supervisory capability. Non-medical home health care is our business... and we're good at it! 

We offer a unique service, The ComForcare Report. This free service is a monthly report of our client's progress and status, and is available on-line (or by mail) to designated recipients. We have a highly sophisticated, computerized scheduling system that helps us schedule caregivers. It is particularly valuable when a caregiver might have to miss an assignment due to illness. We can quickly find a qualified replacement.

We offer a written guarantee that our caregivers will arrive on time.

We have a telephone “clock in and out” system that requires the caregiver to clock in and out from the client’s home.

Of course we serve many types of clients other than seniors. We have a "New Mom" program and can provide services to clients who are convalescing at home for a variety of reasons.

We are closely regulated by the State of Florida and carefully comply with all State of Florida requirements. In addition, all caregivers are fully bonded and insured.
