• Our management team is led by experienced professionals. Our administrator and director of nursing, Lisa Alvarez, is a registered nurse. This means that assessments of prospective clients, follow up visits and supervision of caregivers are done by a highly qualified nurse with years of experience. ALL prospective clients are given an assessment by an RN, even if a referral suggests only a companion level of service is required. We absolutely require we know in great detail the needs of our clients.

• We extensively screen prospective caregivers. We have a six step hiring process which checks backgrounds, health status and skills. MOST IMPORTANTLY, we conduct actual drug tests in our office facility before a caregiver is hired. Many agencies only conduct drug screening (background checks for drug convictions).

• Unlike many agencies, we offer both Companion and Home Health Services. This means that if a client starts as a Companion client and later might require more comprehensive health care services, they can stay as a Comforcare client and not have to change agencies.

• We focus exclusively on our expertise in home health care. There are other types of agencies that provide RNs, physical therapists etc., and non-medical home care is an afterthought. Still others, known as nurse registries, are simply temporary agencies with limited supervisory capability. Non medical home health care is our business... and we're good at it!

• We offer a unique service, The ComForcare Report. This free service is a monthly report of our client's progress and status, and is available on-line (or by mail) to designated recipients.
